Rallarvegen – the old navvies’ road – is the ultimate cycling experience and has become one of the most popular cycling routes in the country. It stretches about 80 kilometers from Haugastøl in the east to Flåm in the west. There is also an alternative route to Voss.
The cycling route starts in the high mountains, continues past Hardangerjøkulen glacier, passes by rivers filled with water from the mountains, follows the wild Flåm valley with its beautiful waterfalls. The route ends in Norway’s beautiful and well-known fjord landscape.
Traveling down Rallarvegen (Navvies’ road) you will not only be exposed to the magnificent nature, but it is also a fascinating ride through Norwegian culture and history.
